Today we started with the interviews at the fitnesscenter.
We made a little survey and had some small conversations.

We made a little survey and had some small conversations.
This where the results:
-Man 77 years old
Comes to the gym because he suffers from Parkinson's. (Adopted in the initial phase)
Takes medication and has to go to therapy (half an hour of therapy is very tiring)
Feels better by exercising, everything is more under control. Can only exercise in the morning. Has too many negative effects if he does this later in the day. (Sleep problems, pain,... )
Why at the fitnesscenter and not at home?
-Couple of social contacts
-Only smaller exercises at home, too much risk with larger exercises. (Single) Safer feeling in the fitness.
- Manager:
Would not buy it hisself.
Clumsy in a fitness
Possibility of other devices. So no use of the cube. Only if the rest is not available.
-Man 50 years old
Comes to gym to stay healthy
Arms and legs but nothing with his back. There aren’t enough tools for the back muscles to train. (Has problems with his back)
Comes by bike, so he doesn’t lose time.
He’d rather be paying for the gym, also because of the social contacts he has there.
With the possibility he would workout at work. If his workplace buys it, he would definitely use the cube.
Don’t want to work-out at home. He don’t want to associate home with workout.
Has never used the powercube. It wasn’t attractive and he doesn’t understand the meaning, or how it works.
-Man 47 (teacher)
Just for staying healthy.
He rather pay for the gym than buy the cube.
He’s not sure about having a space at home. If he would, it would be a typical machine, like a runningband or something.
He’s willing to invest, but isn’t sure.
Didn’t use the powercube.
He only does cardio training.
Comments:
General music plays in the fitness.
General decision:
People do not know what it is. Too clumsy to place at home. They rather pay for the gym. They do not find it practical. They don’t know how to use it. Older women used it as a coat rack. It’s not attractive.
Our interrogation shows that the Powercube has no attention to the older audience. This means that they exclude this target group. It is also noticeable that with the possibilities they have now the targeted target group goes to children or gymteachers (schools).

We shared some ideas and made decisions about where we want the cube and made some scenario's. We also made a persona. We started sketching and generating the first ideas.
